AsianFin -- New legal documents filed this month by attorneys for OpenAI and Jony Ive’s design firm, LoveFrom (operating under the name “io”), have revealed fresh details about their joint efforts to develop a mass-market AI hardware device.

The disclosures come as part of an ongoing trademark dispute with iyO, a Google-backed hardware startup known for its custom-molded earpieces that interface with other devices.

In response to a court order issued over the weekend, OpenAI removed promotional materials related to its $6.5 billion acquisition of Ive’s io, as it works to contest iyO’s trademark infringement claims.
