AsianFin -- Apple is looking to harness generative artificial intelligence to accelerate the development of its custom chips, according to the company’s top hardware executive.

Johny Srouji, Apple’s senior vice president of hardware technologies, discussed the initiative during a speech in Belgium last month, where he received an award from Imec—an independent semiconductor R&D organization that collaborates with many of the world’s leading chipmakers.
