AsianFin -- Pan Gongshen, the governor of China's central bank, the People's Bank of China, announced on Wednesday that the international operational center for the digital Chinese yuan will be created.

He made the announcement at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Lujiazui Forum in Shanghai.

The center will promote the development of the international operations of the digital yuan and the related financial market and facilitate the digital financial innovations.
