AsianFin -- U.S. President Donald Trump is cutting short his attendance at the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Canada, the White House announced Monday, citing rising tensions in the Middle East.

French President Emmanuel Macron revealed that Trump had put forward a ceasefire proposal aimed at de-escalating the conflict between Israel and Iran.

Earlier, Trump had called for the immediate evacuation of Tehran and reiterated his stance that Iran should have agreed to a nuclear deal with the United States.
