AsianFin – Chinese EV maker Leapmotor has officially entered the Hong Kong market with the opening of its first store in the city. The move marks a key step in the company’s international expansion strategy.
CEO Zhu Jiangming stated that Leapmotor’s domestic marketing team will oversee the development of the Hong Kong and Macau markets.
While Hong Kong’s annual vehicle market is relatively modest—around 40,000 to 50,000 units—Zhu emphasized its symbolic importance as a stage to showcase Leapmotor to global users and a key window for international investors to understand the brand.
Leapmotor also revealed plans to finalize localization sites in Europe and Southeast Asia within this year, signaling its intent to deepen global operations beyond exports.
