AsianFin – Boeing has officially resumed aircraft deliveries to Chinese carriers, marking a significant thaw in U.S.-China aviation ties.
The U.S. planemaker on Saturday delivered a brand-new 787-9 Dreamliner to Shanghai-based Juneyao Airlines, the first such handover to a Chinese airline from Boeing’s U.S. facilities in years.
The delivery signals a key milestone following a prolonged suspension triggered by the U.S.-China trade war, during which Chinese airlines halted the acceptance of Boeing jets in response to tariffs and geopolitical tensions.
