AsianFin -- Nvidia Corp. and Samsung Electronics Co. are set to acquire minority stakes in Skild AI Inc., signaling their growing ambitions in the consumer robotics sector.
Samsung plans to invest $10 million in the California-based robotics software startup, while Nvidia is contributing $25 million, according to people familiar with the matter. The funding is part of Skild AI’s Series B round, which is expected to value the company at roughly $4.5 billion.
The round is being led by a $100 million commitment from Japan’s SoftBank Group Corp., the people said, asking not to be named discussing private details.
