AsianFin -- U.S. chipmaker Qualcomm has opened a new artificial intelligence research and development center in Vietnam, the company announced Tuesday.

The facility will focus on developing generative and agentic AI technologies across a range of applications, including smartphones, PCs, extended reality (XR), automotive systems, and IoT devices, according to a company statement.
