AsianFin -- A federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that former President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs can remain in effect while legal battles continue, providing a temporary win for the Trump administration.
The court granted a stay that overrides an earlier ruling from the U.S. Court of International Trade, which found Trump had overstepped his authority by invoking a national emergency to justify broad, country-wide tariffs.
While the tariffs remain in place for now, the appeals court has expedited the case, signaling that a final decision could arrive as soon as this summer.
