AsianFin – Xunlei has finalized its acquisition of Hupu’s parent company, Shanghai Kuanghui Network Technology Co., Ltd.
Under the terms of the agreement, Xunlei paid an upfront cash consideration of RMB 400 million prior to closing the deal. The remaining RMB 100 million will be paid in two equal installments over the next 12 and 24 months, respectively.
The acquisition marks Xunlei’s push into sports-focused digital communities, potentially broadening its presence beyond its core technology and media services.
