AsianFin -- China’s most advanced destroyer can now engage targets beyond visual range with high precision, thanks to integration with an airborne early warning system—technology similar to what the Pakistan Air Force employed during the recent Kashmir conflict, according to state broadcaster CCTV.
In a broadcast on Sunday, CCTV confirmed for the first time that the Type 055 stealth guided-missile destroyer Lhasa is capable of linking with the People’s Liberation Army’s airborne early warning platforms. This data-sharing capability allows the vessel to carry out long-range anti-ship and air-defense missions without relying solely on its onboard radar systems.
