AsianFin -- A fleet of Chinese-made electric buses has officially begun operating in Buenos Aires, marking a significant step toward sustainable public transportation in Argentina’s capital city.
The first batch of 12 battery-electric buses, all manufactured by Yangzhou Yaxing Motor Coach Co., Ltd., has been deployed on the city’s inaugural fully electric bus route. The 12.3-kilometer line passes through several iconic landmarks, including Plaza San Martín, and features a total of 36 stops.
This marks a milestone for both Chinese green technology exports and Argentina’s push for cleaner urban mobility. The introduction of electric buses aims to reduce emissions and modernize the city’s transit infrastructure.
