AsianFin -- Amazon’s drone delivery service, Prime Air, has received clearance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to transport a wider range of products — including those containing lithium-ion batteries such as iPhones, AirPods, and other personal electronics.
The company announced that eligible customers in select areas of Arizona and Texas can now receive these high-demand items via drone in under 60 minutes.
Alongside the regulatory green light, Amazon revealed it has streamlined the Prime Air experience. Customers are now given a precise delivery window — with just a five-minute buffer on either side — and no longer need to step outside or display a QR code for the delivery to be completed.
The expansion marks another step in Amazon’s push to make ultra-fast, automated delivery a reality for more consumers across the U.S.
