AsianFin -- China on Monday urged the United States to adopt responsible policy measures to uphold the stability of the international financial and economic system and protect investor interests.

The remarks came from a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson during a regular press briefing, in response to questions about Moody's recent downgrade of the U.S. sovereign credit outlook amid mounting concerns over the country’s expanding debt burden.
