France’s Le Monde Partners with AI Startup Perplexity to Boost Content and Innovation

AsianFin -- French daily Le Monde has announced a content partnership with U.S.-based AI company Perplexity, joining a wave of media outlets teaming up with tech firms to strengthen their digital offerings amid rising competition in the AI space.

Under the agreement, Perplexity will gain access to Le Monde’s content to improve the accuracy and depth of its AI-powered search engine. In return, Le Monde will leverage Perplexity’s technology—backed by Nvidia—to develop new AI-driven products.

The collaboration also includes support for other publishers whose content appears in Perplexity’s generated responses.

“At Le Monde, we are actively exploring partnerships with leading AI players to grow our audience, expand development capabilities, and create new revenue streams,” said CEO Louis Dreyfus.
