AsianFin -- The United States has decided to maintain its 20% tariffs on Chinese imports related to fentanyl, keeping the total tariff rate on Chinese goods at 30%.
The move is part of ongoing efforts to address concerns over the flow of fentanyl into the U.S., a potent synthetic opioid linked to thousands of overdose deaths annually. Despite previous discussions on tariff adjustments, the tariff rate on these specific imports will not change for the time being.
