AsianFin -- Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) will keep a close watch on how tariffs affect customer demand, co-CEO Zhao Haijun said Friday, noting that visibility for the second quarter remains limited.
Speaking on an earnings call, Zhao said U.S. import tariffs had led to a rise in orders from American customers last quarter, though the overall impact was relatively modest.
In its financial results, the Chinese chipmaker forecast a revenue decline of up to 6% in the second quarter.
