AsianFin -- Elon Musk’s lawyer, Marc Toberoff, said on Monday that the billionaire entrepreneur will move forward with his highly-publicized lawsuit against OpenAI, despite recent adjustments to the AI startup’s governance structure.
Earlier, OpenAI announced a revised plan to maintain control by its non-profit parent organization, which would also become a significant shareholder in the for-profit business. The move appeared to address some of Musk’s concerns, but it has not deterred his legal action.
The lawsuit, filed by Musk, challenges OpenAI’s shift away from nonprofit oversight and includes other claims. A jury trial was initially scheduled for March 2026.
