AsianFin -- Meta Platforms on Tuesday unveiled a new application programming interface (API) designed to make it easier for businesses to build AI-powered products using its Llama language models.

Announced at Meta’s inaugural AI developer conference, the Llama API marks a key move to compete with offerings from OpenAI, backed by Microsoft, as well as Alphabet’s Google and lower-cost challengers like China’s DeepSeek.
