AsianFin -- U.S. President Donald Trump's approval ratings have fallen to historic lows as he approaches the 100-day mark of his second term, according to several recent polls.
A Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos survey conducted between April 18 and 22 shows that only 39% of Americans approve of his performance, marking the lowest 100-day approval rating for any U.S. president in the past 80 years.
Similarly, a CNN-SSRS poll puts his approval at 41%, the lowest since the Eisenhower era.
The decline in public support began in March and has deepened due to controversial actions, such as threats to Greenland, renaming the Gulf of Mexico, and the contentious involvement of Elon Musk in government affairs.
Additionally, a recent tariff announcement that caused market disruptions has contributed to rising dissatisfaction. The decline is most pronounced among women (36% approval) and Hispanic Americans (28%).
