AsianFin -- OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, says it would be interested in acquiring Google Chrome—the world’s most widely used web browser—if the tech giant were ever required to sell it.
The statement came from OpenAI executive Nick Turley, who testified on behalf of the U.S. government in its ongoing antitrust case against Google. The government argues that Google holds an unfair monopoly in the online search market and is pushing for the company to be broken up.
Google, however, has dismissed the idea, saying Chrome is not for sale and urging the court to throw out the lawsuit.
