AsianFin -- Zhu Xiaohu, Managing Partner at GSR Venture, has once again made headlines in the investment circle.
In a recent interview, he revealed that he is “exiting some embodied intelligence projects,” sparking a wave of discussions within both the investment and tech communities. His remarks have even prompted a public response from embodied intelligence companies that had previously received funding from his firm.
On March 30, Zhu responded candidly, explaining that many innovations go through a cycle: “bubble, death, and resurrection.” He added that embodied intelligence has reached an unusually high level of hype, even stating, “It’s so hot that even my mom is sending me articles about it.” Zhu emphasized that embodied intelligence is definitely in its bubble phase and is likely to face a "DeepSeek moment" in the future, referencing the inevitable phase where certain tech trends inevitably collapse or re-evaluate.
