AsianFin – Both the Bloomberg Billionaires Index and Forbes Rich List have confirmed that Zhang Yiming, the founder of ByteDance, has claimed the top spot as China’s richest person.

According to Forbes, Zhang's estimated net worth stands at $65.5 billion, placing him 23rd on the global rich list. Tencent’s Pony Ma (Ma Huateng) and Nongfu Spring’s Zhong Shanshan follow with net worths of $53.5 billion and $53.1 billion, ranking 27th and 28th globally, respectively.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg estimates Zhang’s fortune at $57.5 billion, ranking him 24th worldwide, with Pony Ma and Zhong Shanshan close behind at 25th and 26th places, respectively.
