AsianFin -- In a written interview with Saudi Arabia's Economic Journal, Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Chang Hua shared insights on the growing presence of Chinese businesses in the Kingdom.
According to the Ambassador, 35 Chinese companies have established regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia, and over 300 Chinese firms are conducting business operations in the country. These companies are involved in a wide range of sectors, including engineering contracting, trade logistics, e-commerce, telecommunications services, biomedical industries, industrial investments, and park development.
Ambassador Chang noted that Chinese businesses are gradually expanding into new areas such as financial services, consulting, technology cooperation, and retail, signaling a shift from the traditional energy-based business model to a more innovation-driven approach.
