AsianFin – Huawei introduced its latest flagship smartphone, the Huawei Pura X, at a product launch event on Thursday.

As the first device running HarmonyOS 5, the Pura X represents a significant step forward in the expansion of Huawei's HarmonyOS ecosystem.

The new 1:1 smart interactive outer screen allows users to perform high-frequency operations without unfolding the device, significantly improving efficiency and usability, the company announced at the event.

HarmonyOS has been gaining traction across industries, with several international companies integrating the system into their products. BMW China recently signed an agreement with Huawei to incorporate HarmonyOS into its in-car digital ecosystem, tailoring its smart experience for the Chinese market, according to Xinhua News Agency.
