AsianFin -- Three major telecom companies have fully integrated DeepSeek’s open-source large AI model into their systems.

According to the MIIT’s report on the 2025 Spring Festival telecom services, the integration is part of efforts to leverage the latest AI technologies and expand their applications across multiple scenarios and products. Telecom companies are providing dedicated computational power and supporting environments for the popular DeepSeek-R1 model, enhancing the performance of domestic AI models. The AI-driven approach has been identified as a key innovation direction for improving services in China’s telecom sector.
