Global Natural Gas Consumption Hits New High in 2024: IEA

AsianFin -- The International Energy Agency (IEA) announced on Tuesday that global natural gas consumption is estimated to hit a historical high in 2024, with further demand growth anticipated in 2025.

Preliminary estimates released by the IEA indicate that global natural gas consumption will reach 4,212 billion cubic meters in 2024, an increase of 115 billion cubic meters compared to 2023 or a growth rate of approximately 2.8%. The annual growth rate in 2024 is higher than the average annual growth rate of 2% from 2010 to 2020.
