Trump Mulls 10% Punitive Tariff on China, Threatens Tariff on EU

AsianFin -- U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that his administration was working on a 10% punitive duty on Chinese imports on the grounds that fentanyl is being shipped from China to the U.S. via Mexico and Canada.

Trump made remarks to reporters a day after the swearing-in ceremony, without imposing tariffs on Day 1 in the White House as he promised during his presidential campaign.

He also threatend to impose addtional tariffs on European Union, citing a huge deficit.
