Boeing Delivers Just 13 Jets in November, Less Than a Quarter of Last Year’s Output

Dec 10, 2024, 11:12 p.m. ET

AsianFin -- Boeing reported on Tuesday that it delivered only 13 commercial jets in November, a dramatic drop from the 56 it handed over to customers during the same month in 2023. The deliveries were slightly lower than the 14 jets Boeing delivered in October, a month in which production was still recovering from a seven-week strike by 33,000 factory workers that ended on November 5.

Despite the disappointing delivery numbers, Boeing’s stock rose by 4.5% on Tuesday. The company also announced that it has restarted production of its popular 737 MAX, with new fuselages being loaded into its Renton, Washington factory after weeks of careful preparation.

Boeing aims to ramp up 737 MAX production to 38 jets per month, a move crucial for generating much-needed revenue after facing significant cash losses earlier this year.
