AsianFin -- Vietnam has suspended the operations of Temu, a Chinese online retailer and subsidiary of Pinduoduo, after the company missed a government deadline to register by the end of November.

It remains unclear whether Temu will be allowed to resume its business once it completes the registration process. The suspension follows concerns raised by the Vietnamese government regarding the authenticity of Temu’s exceptionally low-priced products and their potential impact on local manufacturers.
