Nov 29, 2024, 2:53 a.m. ET

AsianFin -- South Korea's Ministry of Education announced on Friday that it has approved 76 digital textbooks created using artificial intelligence (AI) for use in elementary and secondary schools. The textbooks were selected from a pool of 146 candidates.

The approved textbooks cover subjects including mathematics, English, and information technology, and are designed for students in grades 3 and 4 of elementary school, first-year middle school, and first-year high school. These textbooks are set to be showcased in relevant schools starting December 2. Schools will then choose which ones to implement, with the new digital textbooks to be used alongside traditional paper-based textbooks starting in the new academic year in March.
