AsianFin--The world's largest single acrylic sphere, located 700 meters underground as part of the Jiangmen Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), has been fully constructed and is entering its final stages.

The acrylic sphere, with an inner diameter of 35.4 meters, is made from 263 curved panels, each 12 cm thick, and is joined by upper and lower chimneys. Weighing approximately 600 tons, it is the largest single acrylic structure of its kind globally.

Once completed, the Jiangmen Neutrino Observatory will become a major hub for international neutrino research, alongside Japan's Super-Kamiokande and the U.S.'s Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment, further solidifying China's leading position in this field.
