Air China, China Eastern Airlines, and China Southern Airlines have issued new notices announcing extended special ticket policies for flights related to Japan.

The airlines stated that passengers booked on Japan-bound, Japan-departing, or Japan-transiting flights scheduled for travel on or before March 28, 2026 will be eligible for free refunds or ticket changes.

Previously, the free change and refund policy was set to end on December 31, 2025, but the new announcement extends the coverage by nearly three additional months.

The updated policy applies to qualifying tickets across the three major carriers, offering greater flexibility for travelers amid continued uncertainty affecting Japan-related routes.
