Global sales of electric and hybrid vehicles increased 23% year-on-year in October, reaching 1.9 million units, according to Rho Motion. However, the figure represented a slight decline from September’s record high of 2.1 million units.
China continued to dominate the market, accounting for more than half of global EV and hybrid sales. In Europe, sales showed resilience, with particularly strong growth in Germany, France, and the UK, Reuters reported, citing Rho Motion data.
