AsianFin -- U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he is considering selling or giving away the red Tesla Model S he acquired earlier this year in a show of support for Elon Musk.
The vehicle, which has been parked at the White House, may soon be removed, Trump told reporters.
Despite the move, Trump made clear he has no intention of discontinuing the use of Starlink, the satellite internet service provided by Musk’s SpaceX, noting that the White House connection has been “very good.”
The White House began using Starlink Wi-Fi in March to boost its internal wireless network capabilities, after receiving it as a gift from the company.
The comments come as SpaceX’s Starlink program faces setbacks. To date, 583 satellites have been lost—roughly one out of every 15 launched. The company has still deployed over 7,000 satellites, maintaining its lead as the largest commercial satellite network in orbit.
